Gay Army Sgt. Awarded Purple Heart, Kicked Out of Service
This is completely asinine![Sgt. Robert] Stout, of Utica, Ohio, was awarded the Purple Heart after a grenade sent pieces of shrapnel into his arm, face and legs while he was operating a machine gun on an armored Humvee last May.Yet, he has been discharged because he is openly gay. With Army recruiting falling desperately short of target (42% in April), how is this helping?
